Video segment of "High School Rush" on Earl Haig Arts Council's previously phased out event: Battle of The Bands. Aired on Rogers TV Toronto on February 22, 2011.

Believe it or not, in addition to Coffee House and Spring Fling, Arts Council used to host a Battle of The Bands event in Cringan Hall inviting several student bands to compete against one another typically performing a cover and original song for their set. Their eclectic names were projected behind the bands along with colourful cyc lights in the auditorium. At many Battle of The Bands, music-industry professionals were invited as judges to determine a first, second, and third place winner, similar to how the ZOOM International Student Film Festival invites film-industry professionals. Seats were racked up, with the Haig community cheering on each band and the mini concert in front of their eyes. The news of the event's cancellation hit Earl Haig Arts Council's Facebook on February 2, 2018, due to a lack of interest, with the event never returning to the Cringan stage. Can current and future arts enthusiasts and musicians bring it back to life?
