JC X SOPSS FALL 2025 ASSEMBLY

Friday, October 31, 2025, marked the first SOPSS assembly of the 2025 school year! Classes gathered in the auditorium to watch amazing performances put together by the students of Haig.

SOPSS Representative, Renee Sharrett, and Junior Mayor, Sakurako Adachi, opened the assembly with a  welcome speech introducing themselves. 

To kick off the assembly, the JC x SOPSS team performed a dance routine to the “ghost busters” theme song. Performances throughout the morning featured the dance team performing a mashup of songs by Tate Mcrae, the K-pop Dance Club performing “GO” by CORTIS, the carpeband, two amazing duo songs, impressive solo performances, and even a questionable Mario vs. Bowser battle. 

To wrap things up, Community Representative, Olive Maeno-McGrath joined the stage with SAC President, Lucas Pham, to conclude the first SOPSS assembly of the year. They also introduced the start of Wellness Month, beginning with a week of events — including the SAC x VAC art therapy event on Wednesday, November 5 during lunch, and Carnival day on Friday, November 7, taking place during second period.
