Dear Haigers,
Welcome, or welcome back! We can’t believe that summer is over and the 2025/26 school year is underway. Whether you are returning for another year or completely new to Earl Haig, we know that this year will present both challenges and some of the best moments of your life.
This year, Carpanatomy is ready to soar to new heights — or, in the spirit of the Carp, swim to new depths! We have so many incredible things planned for this year — exclusive interviews, coverage on exciting events, articles on matters pertinent to Haig’s student body, cartoons, exhilarating games and comic strips, and more ways for YOU to get involved with the paper.
If you want to write about what matters to you, meet driven students not unlike yourself, or wish to have your voice heard by thousands of students, apply to join Carpanatomy! If you can edit, draw, take pictures, create graphics, or even use a computer, we want you! We make seasonal print issues and media with Haigers, for Haigers. Keep an eye out for morning announcements, posters, or social media posts to become part of our staff. We look forward to seeing your applications! We hope this first issue of Carpanatomy provides a glimpse into our talented student body. Take with you the advice, artwork, and stories showcased to kickstart a wonderful school year. At the back of this issue, you can find a QR code to our website and feedback google form. If you would like to reach out to us personally, find us on Instagram @hrpthr (George) and @isabella.dicola (Isabella).
With all that said, here’s to new beginnings, old friends, and a wonderful year to come! See you again in our next issue coming to you this fall!
All the best,
George Yi and Isabella Di Cola,
Your Editors-In-Chief
